Founded by Marquita Gatling and inspired by the life and legacy of her great-grandmother, “Mama Honey,” the organization was created to empower individuals, strengthen families, and cultivate thriving communities.

Mama Honey’s House is a place where ideas are shared, developed, and cultivated; where young minds are inspired, elders are valued, entrepreneurs are supported, and neighbors become collaborators. Through workforce development, entrepreneurship, education, arts and culture, and meaningful community engagement, Mama Honey’s House creates opportunities for people of all ages to grow, connect, and build brighter futures.
